Public consultation is now open for a revised State Significant Development (SSD) at 160–172 Lord Sheffield Circuit, Penrith, until the 21st of May 2025. The amended DA has been updated to include the following:
4 additional floors, going from 10 floors to 14
Adds 144 additional units with 76 affordable units on top (507 units overall)
Additional commercial floor space
Plenty of public space, and a nice rooftop terrace
The site is just minutes from Penrith Station, the future Metro West, several schools, many local shops and Nepean hospital — making it one of the most connected areas in Western Sydney. With Penrith growing rapidly, this is a great opportunity to deliver more homes where they're needed most. The building also looks great.
Submission Tips
You don’t need to write a lot—just a paragraph or two in your own words. But if you’re looking for anything to write to, here are some suggestions:
The more homes the better; These extra 144 units make more efficient use of desired land allowing more households to live close to services and boosts local business.
The inclusion of 76 affordable dwellings.
Highlight the ample open space.
The access to public transport, schools and health services (Nepean hospital).
Any examples of how you’ve been personally affected by housing affordability.
You can make your submission here until Wednesday 21 May 2025, or you can search SSD-78665709 on the Planning Portal.
